*Highboy Kits (Short Waterpump)* The Highboy kit is a two-belt kit designed originally for 1957 Chevys, but also works great on “fat fendered” street rods and trucks. This kit puts the compressor and alternator above the valve covers. This leaves plenty of room on each side of the engine, without cluttering up the front of the engine like street rod setups do. This kit also works great on 55 and 56 Chevys because it allows the use of a stock fan with the radiator and core support in the “V8” position, and it works with stock motor mounts. This is a great kit for “Tuned Port” applications.

General Information & Specifications Highboy kits come standard with Remote Reservoir. Mini reservoir can be substituted for and additional $75.00 Kits will work with most tall valve covers except for tall center bolt valve covers. Easy to install "Turn-Key" systems supplied with all the necessary components including all pulleys, brackets, High Flow aluminum waterpump, alternator fan, alternator pulley cover, all bolts and hardware, belts and A/C compressor cover (if applicable). Optional power steering kits include power steering pulley, power steering bracket, High Performance aluminum power steering pump and remote OR mini reservoir. Power steering kits can be added at any time. (Power Steering hoses are not included because of varying applications but hose kits are available from Concept ONE or can be made by a local parts stores that makes hoses. Directions are included in instructions.) Kits are designed for small block and big block Chevrolet engines and work with aluminum, Vortec, and late model cast iron heads with accessory bolt holes. All A/C kits are designed to fit the popular Sanden SD 508 (R12) and SD 5H14 (R134a) compressors with serpentine pulleys (not included). Alternator bracket fits most standard alternators with 6.575 inch bolt pattern (not included). All kits feature overdrive technology which increases water flow and electrical system charging at idle and slow speeds.
